Was it just happenstance that you both chose silverware, or was it premeditated? These diptychs work so well, even when serendipity is not at play!
This reminds me of a mobile my mom made for me out of vintage silverware she found at garage sales/second hand shops. I thought I had a good photo to share, but it seems to just be the top. Hanging from the upturned goblet are forks with their tinnes all twisted and curled up. It's quite a neat thing to do with old forks. Almost as nice as using them for lifting bites of rich chocolate cake.
